KLDF's mission is to build the local hilltribe (ethnic minority groups in Thailand) communities’ capacity for autonomy and self-reliance by providing both the resources and the intellectual tools necessary to combat external cultural pressures as they are increasingly forced to enter Thailand’s mainstream society and cash economy.
