Prosperity In The Hood Inc

Prosperity in the Hood Inc. is a Brooklyn-based nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the health, education, stability, and well-being of youth, seniors, and families experiencing hardship.

We serve as a trusted community resource hub, providing essential support to individuals affected by food insecurity, financial hardship, and limited access to educational and everyday necessities. Our mission is to meet immediate needs while creating opportunities for individuals and families to move toward greater stability and success.

Our core programs include a biweekly community food pantry, an annual Back-to-School Give-Back, educational support and classroom incentive programs, and clothing, hygiene, and essentials distributions.

Through our Back-to-School Give-Back, students receive backpacks, school supplies, books, clothing, hygiene products, and other resources that help them begin the school year prepared and confident. Our educational initiatives provide reading materials, next-grade-level learning kits, and incentives that encourage academic engagement and help reduce summer learning loss.

We also support seniors and families by providing nutritious food, clean clothing, personal-care products, and household essentials that promote health, dignity, and financial relief.
