Young Biologists Association NGO

Young Biologists Association NGO (YBA) established in February, 2009 and unites young biologists specializing and realizing research works in different fields of biology. More than 120 students and young scientists from various universities, scientific-research institutions of Armenia and abroad are members of the association. The basic directions of its activities are to promote the involvement of youth into the nature's conservation programs and to implement environmental education programs. The NGO also promotes a “green lifestyle” and organizes various events to raise public awareness of issues related to biodiversity conservation and climate change inArmenia. We are organizing trainings, conferences, seminars, environmental campaigns, clean-up days, field trips for youth. Our organization is member of Earth Day Network and Infra Eco Network Europe international organizations. In the framework of biodiversity conservation activities we have established YBA Biodiversity Conservation and Research Group which aims to conduct scientific biodiversity research and work with local communities for promotion of sustainable livelihood and community-based conservation.
