VOICE connects Issaquah School District students with caring adult and high-school volunteer mentors for one-on-one support.

VOICE — Volunteers of Issaquah Changing Education — is a school-based mentoring program that connects caring adult and high-school volunteers with K–12 students at 26 participating Issaquah School District schools.

VOICE mentors meet one-on-one with the same student for 30–60 minutes each week during the school day, building a consistent relationship through connection, encouragement and support.

Adult mentors may apply regardless of where they live. High-school students may apply beginning in 9th grade and mentor elementary students. Mentors make an initial commitment of one school year and receive training and ongoing support from VOICE.

Through these relationships, mentors help students feel seen, heard and valued while supporting hope, resilience, self-advocacy and a stronger sense of belonging.
