Our Mission

LIFEbeat is a charity which uses a unique creative methodology to build community to positively impact the lives of young people. Our mission is to improve young people's wellbeing, giving them the skills and inspiration to overcome the challenges they face, navigate the divisions in society and to lead confident, healthy and purposeful lives.

Our Approach 

Through our youth programmes and summer camps, as well as our youth and professional training programmes, we build resilience, self-esteem, emotional intelligence and social skills. LIFEbeat’s approach weaves together key different essential practices: creativity and arts practice, focus on relationships and group/community work, personal storytelling, and reflective practice. Through a unique combination of collective and personal storytelling; creative expression and group process, young people are empowered to critically examine ethical issues around social division, to overcome the negative effects of personal trauma and challenges and to mature and develop their own potential.
