Bridge Builders to the New Generation empowers youth from urban and marginalized communities through restorative justice practices, social-emotional learning, and culturally responsive opportunities. We foster resilience and equip youth and families with essential skills for success in college, career, and life, promoting positive community engagement and long-term growth.

Bridge Builders to the New Generation is a community-based nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth and families from marginalized and underserved communities through restorative justice practices, social-emotional learning, mentorship, and culturally responsive programming. Our mission is rooted in creating safe, inclusive, and healing-centered environments where young people can develop the confidence, resilience, and life skills needed to succeed in school, career, and life. Guided by our belief that “Exposure Equals Expansion,” we strive to expose students to opportunities, experiences, and support systems that broaden their vision for their future.

We primarily serve students across East and West Contra Costa County through school-based programming that focuses on truancy intervention, violence prevention, leadership development, college and career readiness, and emotional wellness. Our values center around equity, accountability, healing, empowerment, and authentic relationship-building. Through workshops, focus groups, mentorship, restorative circles, and community engagement, we work to address the root causes of disengagement while helping students feel seen, heard, and supported. Our goal is not only to improve student outcomes but to create lasting impact within schools, families, and communities.
