Our Mission

To connect worldwide volunteers with community-driven projects in Asia that promote education, gender equality, health, and environmental sustainability — through ethical partnerships with local NGOs.

Active Volunteers Abroad (AVA) is a non-profit dedicated NGO to compassionate volunteers with local communities across Asia.

We believe that volunteering abroad should create real, lasting impact — built on respect, partnership, and shared learning between cultures.

Starting in Cambodia, AVA plans to expand to 17 countries, including Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Bangladesh, India, the Philippines, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Timor-Leste, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Mongolia. We work closely with trusted local NGOs to design ethical, community-led projects that focus on improving education, empowering women, supporting health and environmental initiatives, and advancing sustainable development.

Our approach is simple: local communities lead, volunteers support.

Every project we run begins with the priorities of our local partners — ensuring that volunteers contribute where they’re truly needed.
