Our mission is to ignite globally conscious, systems-thinking changemakers by delivering a rigorous, interdisciplinary online education rooted in real-world complexity, creative inquiry, and academic excellence.
We challenge students to explore the world’s toughest problems: climate resilience, equity, innovation, and sustainability, while building the knowledge, courage, and character to solve them.

The Promontory Academy is an online, self-paced school for globally curious students in grades 3–12. Our program is built for learners who don’t fit the mold — students who crave deeper purpose, real-world relevance, and a future-forward education that equips them to lead, not follow.
We deliver a rigorous interdisciplinary curriculum rooted in systems thinking, sustainability, and self-direction. Students explore topics like climate resilience, innovation, and equity while earning meaningful certifications and building personal mastery through creative, open-ended work.
We're not here to replicate traditional school online. We’re here to redesign it from the ground up — for the world that’s coming next.
Who We Serve:
- Bright, curious students ages 8–18
- Families seeking self-paced, globally relevant education
- Learners who thrive on challenge, connection, and creativity
- Students in difficult circumstances - for example, we have enrolled a determined 18 year old girl in Afghanistan who reached out to us because the Taliban has banned education for girls beyond 6th grade. She had to leave school in 2022, when the restriction was laid down, in the midst of her 9th grade year.

We are fiscally sponsored by IFERS (a registered 501(c)(3)) and currently in our early-stage growth phase. Join us as we build the school the future needs. We are a member of global accrediting organization, COGNIA, and anticipate full accreditation some time in 2026.
