The mission of the National Council on Youth Sports Safety (NCYSS) is to raise awareness of and apply an integrative approach to create a culture of prevention and reduce the number of injuries that occur among youth engaged in organized sports. Chaired by 16th U.S. Surgeon General Dr. David Satcher, the NCYSS advisory council represents a diverse array of national and international experts from organizations including FIFA, NCAA, Safe Kids Worldwide, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the GENYOUth Foundation.
