ITNChicago™ is a start-up alternative senior transportation operation that seeks to mobilize communities to address the transportation needs of its seniors. The organization is an affiliate of the Independent Transportation Network of America (ITNAmerica®). It seeks to replicate the original model started in Portland, Maine. The ITN model creates an efficient and financially sustainable solution to the transportation needs of seniors through information technology and local, grassroots support. ITNChicago will pilot its operation on the Northwest side of Chicago and expand throughout the city. It will serve as a model for dignified senior transportation for large cities across the nation.
