HITE - Health Information Tool for Empowerment

The GNYHA Foundation is the not-for-profit affiliate of the Greater New York Hospital Association (GNYHA), which represents hospitals and continuing care facilities in the metropolitan New York region. The GNYHA Foundation sponsors grant-funded special projects that seek to match the priorities of the grantmaking community with the interests of GNYHA member facilities.

HITE (Health Information Tool for Empowerment) is a comprehensive online directory containing thousands of national, state, and local organizations and programs available to low-income, under-insured, and uninsured people, as well as links to dozens of Web sites that provide information on everything from how to sign up for clinical trials to where you can get free or low-cost medications. HITE is designed specifically to provide access to available health care and related services to New Yorkers with inadequate health insurance and the professionals who serve them.
