Revere Beach Partnership

Acerca de

Revere’s 3-mile crescent beach, America’s first public beach, is a beautiful natural resource, rare for so urban an area. Half a century ago, Revere Beach thrived as a recreational hub. Over the years, for a variety of reasons, people stopped coming to Revere Beach. Realizing that something must be done to save this precious resource, a Revere Beach Citizens Planning charette was held in 2001. The Revere Beach Partnership, whose mission is “To maintain and enhance Revere Beach as a community asset by building financial and political support, preserving its historic character and unique natural features, and facilitating the communication process for its future improvement and development,” is a result of this charette. In the intervening years, with the cooperation of the Comm. of MA, the City of Revere, the DCR, and Save the Harbor/Save the Bay, much progress has been made toward achieving this mission.
