    Descripción

    Guardian of Childhood (GOC) is a youth-led international nonprofit initiative dedicated to creating a safer world for children through child rights education, online child safety education, digital citizenship, and preventative safeguarding awareness.

    Our mission is to empower children, parents, educators, and communities with accessible educational resources that help prevent abuse, exploitation, cyber risks, and other threats before they happen. We believe every child deserves to grow up safe, informed, respected, and protected.

    As we expand our global volunteer team, we are looking for a passionate Volunteer Human Resources (HR) Officer to help us recruit, support, and engage volunteers from around the world.

    Role Overview

    The Volunteer Human Resources Officer will play a key role in building and supporting Guardian of Childhood's international volunteer community.

    This role focuses on volunteer recruitment, onboarding, engagement, documentation, and fostering a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team culture. As a Volunteer HR Officer, you will help ensure that every volunteer has a welcoming and meaningful experience while contributing to our mission.

    Key Responsibilities

    Volunteer Recruitment

    • Publish and manage volunteer opportunities.
    • Review volunteer applications.
    • Screen candidates based on role requirements.
    • Coordinate interviews with team leaders.
    • Communicate with applicants throughout the recruitment process.

    Volunteer Onboarding

    • Welcome new volunteers.
    • Coordinate onboarding sessions.
    • Introduce volunteers to the organization's mission, values, and expectations.
    • Ensure new volunteers receive the necessary resources and documentation.

    Volunteer Engagement

    • Maintain regular communication with volunteers.
    • Support volunteer motivation and retention.
    • Organize virtual check-ins and team-building activities.
    • Recognize volunteer contributions and achievements.

    Documentation & Administration

    • Maintain accurate volunteer records.
    • Organize recruitment and onboarding documents.
    • Track volunteer participation and commitments.
    • Assist in preparing volunteer certificates and recognition letters.

    Team Support

    • Promote a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative working environment.
    • Help resolve minor volunteer concerns professionally.
    • Support organizational policies and volunteer guidelines.
    • Work closely with the Founder and department leads to strengthen the volunteer experience.

    Desired Qualifications

    Preferred qualifications include:

    • Background in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Management, or a related field (students and recent graduates are encouraged to apply).
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
    • Comfortable working in a remote, multicultural team.
    • Passion for volunteering, nonprofit work, and child rights education.

    Previous HR or recruitment experience is appreciated but not required.
