Our front of house volunteers help share the history of cider and cider makers, creating memorable experiences for visitors of all ages, backgrounds, and prior knowledge. The front of HHHhouse team are the first point of contact at the museum for visitors, both in person and on the phone, and are essential in creating a welcoming environment as representatives of the museum.
Please note, this volunteer role is suitable for those aged 18 and over.
What’s involved?
Museum of Cider, Pomona Place, Hereford, HR4 0EF
The Museum is located to the West of the city of Hereford, off the A438 Brecon Road. It is situated close to Sainsbury’s supermarket and the Travelodge. There is free parking on site (please do not park by the side of the gym). It is a 10 to 15 minute walk from the city centre where there is plenty of pay and display parking. There is designated coach parking.
By rail...
The Museum is roughly a 30 minute walk from Hereford train station. To walk from here, turn right out of the station and follow the A465 (Hereford City Link Road). At the end of the road turn left onto Edgar Street. Keep on the right hand side of the road, walk just past the roundabout and turn right onto the A438 (Eign Street). Turn left onto Grimmer Road, follow the road around to the right and look for the “Museum of Cider” sign. Alternatively, taxis occasionally wait outside the station.
