We have furthered our partnership with UpRising Church in South Austin, and will now be an additional pick-up site for our weekday meal delivery!
Weekly Meal Delivery Driver
Looking for a meaningful route? Take a regular route one specific day per week (or more, if you’d like!), delivering meals between 10:45 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Why it’s great:
- A consistent, predictable schedule
- The opportunity to build relationships with the same neighbors each week
- Flexibility when life happens—we’ll arrange a substitute if you’re unavailable
Flexible Meal Delivery Driver (Substitute)
Need something more flexible? Substitute drivers help cover open routes as needed, making this ideal for busy or changing schedules.
- Why it’s great: No ongoing commitment—serve when you’re available
- Variety of routes and experiences
- A direct, immediate impact each time you volunteer
Meal Managing (On-Site Support)
Prefer to stay off the road? Meal Managers play a vital role in making sure every delivery runs smoothly at the pick-up site between 10:30 am and 12:30 pm.
- What you’ll do:Distribute meals and route sheets to drivers
- Communicate important updates and support volunteers
- Why it’s great:A consistent weekly role (10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.)
- No driving required
- A social, team-oriented environment
- Backup coverage provided when needed

You will upload your driver's license and auto insurance directly into the application, and watch a 5 minute Meals on Wheels Orientation. Once your application has been processed and your background check in complete, we will reach out to schedule training and get you set up to volunteer with us!
