QWFN Content & Community Engagement Volunteer
Descripción
Descripción
QWFN is a platform focused on women, economic participation, and issues that affect women and their communities. Through research, storytelling, and accessible content, we seek to contribute meaningfully to conversations around women and policy.
We are looking for a Content & Community Engagement Volunteer to support the development and distribution of QWFN's written content.
About the Role
The volunteer will help manage QWFN's Substack content and support the organisation's LinkedIn presence.
The role is particularly suited to someone who is interested in women's issues, public policy, research, writing, digital publishing, and community engagement.
The volunteer will work with existing content and research materials, helping turn them into consistent, useful publications for the QWFN community.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and develop articles around women-related issues, policy, and relevant current developments.
- Publish at least two articles per week on Substack.
- Write short, engaging summaries of published articles for LinkedIn.
- Direct LinkedIn readers to the full articles on Substack.
- Help organise and maintain QWFN's content pipeline.
- Monitor audience engagement and identify which topics and content formats resonate with readers.
- Use audience response and analytics to inform future content.
- Support the development of a consistent publishing rhythm for QWFN.
- Collaborate with the wider team on content planning and publishing.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who:
- Has strong writing and communication skills.
- Is interested in women, policy, social issues, or related areas.
- Can conduct basic research and turn information into clear, readable content.
- Is comfortable working independently and meeting agreed publishing deadlines.
- Has an interest in digital publishing platforms such as Substack.
- Understands or is willing to learn how LinkedIn content can be used to drive engagement and readership.
- Is willing to review audience engagement and learn from what performs well.
- Can commit consistently to the role rather than participating only occasionally.
Previous experience with Substack, LinkedIn, content writing, research, communications, or community management is an advantage, but we are also open to applicants who can demonstrate strong writing and research ability.
What You Will Gain
This role provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in:
- Digital publishing and content strategy
- Research and editorial development
- Substack publishing
- LinkedIn content distribution
- Community engagement
- Audience analytics
- Content planning and editorial workflows
- Women's policy and social issues
You will also work within a collaborative team and receive guidance and training as you become familiar with QWFN's content systems.
Commitment
We are looking for someone who can commit approximately 3–5 hours per week, with the ability to maintain a consistent publishing schedule.
The role is remote and requires reliable communication, initiative, and accountability.
