Lead a Knitting Club for Seniors - "Keep Calm and Carry Yarn"!

Do you love knitting and want to share your passion with others? Volunteer to lead a weekly knitting club for seniors at Lakeside in Oakland! This is a great opportunity to build community, share skills, and bring joy to residents who enjoy crafting and socializing.

When: Weekly, Tuesdays, 1PM-2PM

What You'll Do:

• Lead a small group of seniors in a relaxed knitting session
• Provide guidance and support for beginners and experienced knitters alike
• Foster a warm and welcoming environment for social engagement

A Service Coordinator will be on-site to support the activity. No professional teaching experience is needed-just a love for knitting and patience to help others!

Requirements: Ongoing SAHA Community Volunteers must commit to volunteer once a week for a minimum of 4 months, and must complete a volunteer orientation, volunteer forms and background screening prior to beginning their placement.
