Volunteer Musician Need at Saint Therese of Avon- Saint Mary of the Woods

Music Volunteers enhance our senior residents' lives at Saint Therese by providing music for entertainment or to support therapeutic recreation activities.

Responsibilities (to include one or more below)

1. Assist with music therapy programs
2. Provide instrumental background music during mealtimes
3. Share music and engage with residents who would benefit from music
4. Provide music lessons to residents or lead choir/band

Knowledge, Skill or Abilities Required

1. Enjoys sharing music with residents
2. Good communication skills and patience
3. Interest in developing ongoing relationships with residents
4. Demonstrated performance experience via a performance resume or other method.
5. Able to maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines
6. Able to follow infection prevention and control procedures to minimize risk of disease transmission and maintain health and safety of residents, staff and volunteers
7. Able to understand state laws protecting vulnerable adults and reporting mandates
