Descripción
Descripción
On Friday, October 23, 2026, the Community Enrichment Fitness Network (CEFN) will bring together hundreds of older adults, healthcare professionals, community organizations, and volunteers for its Senior Health and Wellness Fair in combination with the 6th Annual Harvest Ball in Philadelphia. Volunteers will help CEFN deliver and connect older adults with services that can have a meaningful effect on their health, independence, and quality of life. The event will provide access to preventive-health resources including blood pressure screenings, memory testing, balance and movement assessments, Medicare and Medicaid information, wellness education, financial guidance, and estate and end-of-life planning. CEFN's broader community work also helps older adults access services including affordable housing assistance, health education, nutrition programming, fitness opportunities, and other resources that support healthy aging.
Volunteers will help with:
- Welcoming, registering, and assisting older adult attendees
- Directing participants to health screenings, vendors, and community resources
- Supporting healthcare providers and community partners
- Assisting with information and resource tables
- Helping coordinate event activities, raffles, and attendee flow
- Event setup, breakdown, and general on-site support
This opportunity is particularly valuable for students and emerging professionals interested in healthcare, public health, medicine, nursing, social work, public policy, preventive care, social services, nonprofit programming, community health, human services, and older-adult advocacy. Volunteers will gain firsthand experience working within a large community-health initiative while interacting with healthcare organizations, nonprofit professionals, service providers, and the older adults these programs are designed to serve.
CEFN's work focuses on preventive care and chronic-disease prevention, helping older adults gain access to information and resources that can support healthier, more independent lives. Your time at this event will contribute directly to that work.
We are seeking dependable, welcoming volunteers who communicate well, work effectively as part of a team, and are comfortable assisting older adults.
