- Position Title: Grant Procurement & Vendor Quote Specialist (100% Remote)
- Time Commitment: 3–5 hours per week (Flexible)

About Mending Our Mistakes, Inc. (M.O.M.):
For the best interest of all children, our mission is to disrupt cycles of poverty by equipping parents with specialized skills and economic tools to earn livable wages, solve environmental issues, and create generational wealth for the families that depend on them.
M.O.M. is an emerging 501(c)(3) community economic development organization. We are actively working to launch the Arkansas Heritage Trade Academy (AHTA)—a specialized training initiative focused on high-wage historic preservation skilled trades ($18–$35+/hr)—and to develop disaster-resilient workforce housing for the working parents we employ.
Role Overview:
Public capital grants require itemized, real-world cost estimates and vendor quotes to justify budget requests. We are seeking a detail-oriented Grant Procurement & Vendor Quote Specialist to contact equipment dealers, trade suppliers, lumber yards, and contractors to request formal written price quotes and in-kind material match letters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vendor Outreach: Email and call regional suppliers (lumber yards, heavy equipment dealers, tool distributors, IT vendors) to request official written price quotes for grant budget attachments.
- In-Kind Match Documentation: Send standardized match pledge forms to local businesses willing to donate or discount equipment hours, materials, or services.
- Quote Organizing: Save all received PDF quotes and price sheets into organized grant folders in Google Drive, linking them to our budget master sheets.
Qualifications:
- Professional, polite telephone and email communication skills.
- Organized with basic Google Workspace skills (Drive, Sheets).
- Comfortable contacting business managers and sales representatives to request written quotes.
