For nearly 50 years, YouthCare has provided shelter, education, employment training, and trusted adult support to help young people find stability, pursue their goals, and thrive.

About Evening of HOPE

YouthCare’s inaugural Evening of HOPE is a special fundraising event bringing together community members, supporters, and advocates to celebrate the young people we serve and raise critical funds to support YouthCare’s programs and mission.

We’re looking for a volunteer photographer to help us capture the energy, connection, and meaningful moments that make this evening special.

Volunteer Opportunity

The Event Photographer will document Evening of HOPE through candid photos and event highlights. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys storytelling through photography and wants to use their skills to support a meaningful cause.

Responsibilities may include:

• Capturing candid moments throughout the evening
• Photographing guests, volunteers, event activities, and décor
• Capturing key moments such as the program, speakers, auction, raffle activities, and other highlights
• Working with YouthCare staff to identify important moments or people to photograph
• Providing a collection of edited, high-quality photos following the event for YouthCare’s future communications and storytelling

Ideal Volunteer

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has experience with event, candid, or documentary-style photography
• Has their own camera and photography equipment
• Is comfortable working in a busy event environment
• Has a strong eye for composition and storytelling
• Is dependable, professional, and respectful when photographing guests and participants
• Feels excited about supporting YouthCare and our mission

Professional photography experience is preferred, but we’re especially interested in someone who enjoys capturing authentic moments and telling a story through their images.

Photographer Release Agreement: A photographer release agreement will need to be completed prior to the event. This agreement will outline expectations regarding the use, sharing, and ownership of photographs taken during Evening of HOPE.
