Stewards' docent-led tours and hikes in Armstrong Redwoods SNR and Austin CreekSRA cater to school groups and the public.
Our school group education program serves over 5,000 students a year in Armstrong Redwoods SNR. Armstrong Guides lead school groups from kindergarten to high school through the grove on 1-2 hour long tours, pointing out the highlights of our park and teaching redwood ecology.
Roving docents patrol the park answering questions of park visitors of all ages. Roving docents give short intperpretive talks and promote the work of Stewards. Help promote, restore and protect the natural and cultural resources of Russian River Area State Parks through interpretation, public stewardship, education programming, community science and by connecting visitors to their parks!
