Land of Medicine Buddha (LMB) is a 108‑acre Buddhist retreat center in Soquel, CA. Our Service‑Study Resident Volunteer program offers a chance to live in community, support a meaningful mission, and deepen your connection to mindfulness practice. Live on‑site in the redwoods, supporting daily operations (dining room, housekeeping, grounds) in exchange for room, board, and a peaceful, contemplative community environment.

Prescott Road is a narrow, winding road which we share with numerous neighbors. On your drive in, please turn on your headlights, go slowly, and be prepared to pull over to the side when you meet oncoming traffic.

Applicants must already hold valid U.S. work authorization, permanent residency, or citizenship. LMB cannot provide visa sponsorship or documentation for any type of U.S. visa.
