    Volunteer Type: One-Time or Occasional Volunteer Opportunity

    Help Keep Our Community Safe

    The Center for Movement Challenges (CFMC) is seeking a volunteer with CPR and First Aid knowledge to lead an educational session for our members, staff, and volunteers.

    CFMC is a nonprofit organization serving individuals living with Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders through specialized exercise, wellness, education, and support programs.

    We are looking for someone who can provide a hands-on, informational training focused on recognizing emergencies, responding appropriately, and basic CPR and First Aid techniques. This is intended to be an educational workshop only and does not need to provide certifications.

    Volunteer Responsibilities

    • Lead a CPR and First Aid educational session (approximately 60–90 minutes)
    • Demonstrate basic CPR techniques and emergency response procedures
    • Answer participant questions
    • Provide hands-on learning opportunities when appropriate
    • Bring a CPR training mannequin ("dummy") for demonstration purposes

    Qualifications

    • Experience with CPR and First Aid instruction preferred
    • Healthcare professionals, EMTs, firefighters, nurses, physicians, athletic trainers, and CPR instructors are encouraged to apply
    • Comfortable presenting to groups
    • Passion for community education and helping others

    Time Commitment

    • One educational session
    • Date and time are flexible and can be scheduled based on volunteer availability
