    Overview

The Fédération Internationale de la Jeunesse, in English the International Youth Federation (IYF), is an international non-profit youth organisation network governed by the present Statutes and the Swiss Civil Code. It is politically neutral and non-denominational, aiming to empower youth worldwide.

The IYF is a global youth network, an organisation advocating for change and connecting countries to knowledge, experience and resources to empower young people across the world. IYF works in over 50 countries and territories, helping to achieve youth empowerment and improve the status of youth.

The IYF Bureau of External Relations (IYFER) is responsible for the IYF’s external relations and international cooperation. The Bureau leads and supports the organisation in building and strengthening strategic relationships and alliances that are essential for advancing and successfully achieving the mission of the IYF.

The Deputy Director supports the Director of the Bureau of External Relations in the day-to-day management, coordination, and execution of the BER mandate. The role focuses on operationalising partnership priorities, ensuring internal coordination, and maintaining consistency and quality across partnership engagements, allowing the Director to focus on strategic leadership and high-level relationships.

    • Flag risks, overlaps, or misalignments in partnership activity.

    (C) Systems, Tracking, and Documentation:

    • Maintain partnership records, engagement logs, and basic tracking systems.
    • Support preparation of briefing notes, partnership summaries, and internal reports.
    • Contribute to learning and feedback processes linked to external engagement.

    (D) Systems, Tracking, and Documentation:

    • Support coordination of regional focal points and operational workflows.
    • Contribute to onboarding, guidance, and day-to-day problem-solving within the Bureau.
    • Step in for the Director when required on internal coordination matters.

    • Familiarity with institutional or government environments
    • Experience working in matrixed or multi-unit organisations
    • Interest in youth policy, governance, or development cooperation
