Grant research and proposal writing expert (volunteer)

Urunji Child-Care Trust is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Grant Research and Proposal Writing Expert to support our fundraising and resource mobilization efforts.

The successful candidate will identify grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, governments, and international donors, and develop compelling funding proposals aligned with our mission of supporting vulnerable children and strengthening communities in Malawi.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and identify suitable grant opportunities.
• Develop and write high-quality grant proposals and concept notes.
• Maintain a grant pipeline and funding calendar.
• Collaborate with program staff to gather information and develop project budgets.
• Support donor reporting and fundraising strategy development.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in grant research and proposal writing.
• Strong understanding of international development and nonprofit fundraising.
• Excellent writing, research, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated success in securing grants is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
