We provide accessible education and hands-on learning in Physical AI, robotics, and related technologies for high school and college students, working professionals, and the broader public. About the Volunteer Opportunity
SuperTech FT is seeking a bilingual Cantonese-English Volunteer Video Editor to turn class recordings, interviews, demonstrations, events, and outreach footage into polished, audience-ready videos. The volunteer will report directly to Dr. Albert Hu, CEO, and collaborate with SuperTech FT's marketing and program teams.
Responsibilities
- Edit long-form and short-form videos for YouTube, the SuperTech FT website, LinkedIn, classes, fundraising, and community outreach.
- Create and quality-check accurate English and Traditional Chinese captions, subtitles, titles, and other on-screen text; adapt wording so it is natural and culturally appropriate for San Francisco's Cantonese-speaking community.
- Add titles, lower thirds, graphics, music, transitions, and basic motion elements while following SuperTech FT branding.
- Improve pacing, audio clarity, color consistency, and overall storytelling for technical and general audiences.
- Create short clips and social-media cutdowns from longer recordings.
- Organize project files and versions, respond to feedback, meet agreed deadlines, and protect confidential information and intellectual property.
Qualifications
- Professional working proficiency in spoken English and Cantonese, together with the ability to read and write Traditional Chinese and produce accurate captions and subtitles. Mandarin proficiency is helpful but not required.
- Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or comparable video-editing software.
- A good eye for visual storytelling, pacing, audio, and readable on-screen text.
- Clear communication, dependable remote collaboration, and comfort receiving detailed feedback.
- Access to a reliable computer, internet connection, and an editing setup appropriate for the work.
- A portfolio, demo reel, or examples of completed video work.
- Interest in education, robotics, artificial intelligence, workforce development, or nonprofit service is strongly preferred.
