About InnervisionInnervision is a nonprofit empowering blind and disabled musical artists and podcasters by teaching the business of music and broadcasting. We focus on education, career development, and community enrichment through podcasting, live performances, and media production.
Position OverviewWe are seeking skilled, sighted volunteers to support our grant-writing efforts over the next 7 months. Innervision aims to submit 8 grant proposals per month. While we already have content and a pipeline of proposals, we need support to:
Navigate inaccessible grant portals
Re-write and format proposals using AI-generated drafts
Conduct targeted grant research
Improve clarity, grammar, and structure of our submissions
You will also help evaluate the strength of current proposals, suggesting improvements based on best practices in competitive, modern grant writing.
Ideal VolunteerYou are someone who:
Has experience writing successful grants (nonprofit, arts, education, etc.)
Can recognize strengths and weaknesses in proposals
Understands the changing landscape of foundation and federal funding
Writes clearly and effectively with good grammar and paragraph structure
Is comfortable using online tools and working remotely
Navigating inaccessible grant submission websites
Researching and identifying new grant opportunities (foundation, federal, and corporate)
Aligning proposals with updated federal grant guidelines
Tailoring proposals for funders focused on Colorado-based organizations
Packaging polished and professional grant applications
Building focused, realistic, and funder-friendly budgets
Understanding and addressing reviewer criteria
Demonstrating excellence and innovation in proposals
We also ask volunteers to review Innervision's website and offer feedback on accessibility, content clarity, and messaging alignment with funders’ priorities.
