2-Year Hurricane Helene and Milton Anniversary Commemoration

SBP has rebranded, and we are now officially operating as Strongward. While our name is new, our commitment to helping communities prepare for and recover from disasters remains as strong as ever. Join Strongward on Thursday, October 1, for a morning of service commemorating two years of recovery efforts following Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

Through support from volunteers like you, Strongward has helped rebuild 119 homes and secure over $3.5M in FEMA relief for impacted families. However, recent reporting shows that nearly 12,000 local families are still dealing with severe home damage, depleted savings, and financial stress.

We are coming together to directly assist a local homeowner with critical home repairs and participate in a Celebration of Service alongside the homeowner and Strongward’s leadership team.

Event Schedule:

8:30 AM: Volunteer Shift Begins (Hands-on rebuilding/repair tasks)

10:30 AM: Celebration of Service Kickoff (Commemorating impact and community resilience)

3:00 PM: Shift Concludes (weather dependent)

No prior construction experience is needed: all tools, safety gear, and instruction will be provided on-site.
