Patient Care Visit Volunteer

Purpose:

To serve as a friend/companion to patients, loved ones or caregivers with emotional, social, and other needs assigned.

Essential Duties:

1. Provide emotional support for the patients and their loved ones.
2. Documentation accurately and timely.
3. Participate in trainings.
4. Professionalism at visitations.
5. Provide companionship to patients.
6. Read, board games, bookclubs, or activities with patients.
7. Commit 1 hour per week or 2 hours per month.
8. Maintain open communication with other team members and volunteer coordinator.
9. Compete a TB test (Stillwater provides a free one for those who complete training and need it)
