Help Afghan Girls Reach Universities Abroad – Join Our New Scholarship Team

We are now launching our first-ever Offline Scholarship Team, and we’re seeking two experienced volunteers to join as Senior Scholarship Team Members. You’ll be supporting a newly appointed Scholarship Manager in helping students secure places at universities abroad—whether through full scholarships or tuition waivers.

This is a critical role in a brand-new initiative. You’ll be guiding 5–6 of our Afghan project coordinators as they help identify eligible students and navigate international opportunities.

About the Role:

This is a remote volunteer position for someone who can contribute 6 hours a week from mid-July through mid-November (Semester 5, a 20-week term). You’ll work closely with the Scholarship Manager and our Education Team, helping to drive forward the project and ensure strong systems are built from the ground up.

Your Core Responsibilities Will Include:

• Supporting the research and mapping of international scholarships
• Contacting universities and building early-stage partnerships
• Reviewing eligibility criteria and helping match students to programmes
• Assisting with student preparation (e.g. personal statements, timelines)
• Offering guidance and oversight to Afghan project coordinators
• Collaborating on documentation, tracking, and outreach strategies

Who We’re Looking For:

• Experience in university advising, international education, scholarships, academic support, or nonprofit development
• Ideally based in the U.S. or Europe
• Familiarity with academic systems and scholarship requirements a plus
• Patient, diplomatic, and confident communicating across cultures
• Willingness to take initiative and co-build a structure from scratch
