    Descripción

    Role Summary: The Front Desk Volunteer serves as the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and community members. This role is essential for creating a welcoming and professional environment while providing administrative and clerical support to staff.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Greet and check in visitors in a friendly and professional manner
    • Answer phone calls and route them to appropriate staff or take messages
    • Provide basic information about the organization’s services and programs
    • Monitor visitor sign-in/out procedures for security and safety
    • Assist with light administrative tasks
    • Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
    • Support staff with scheduling appointments or distributing forms

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Dependable, punctual, and professional demeanor
    • Comfortable using phones, computers, and office equipment
    • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
    • Basic computer literacy
    • Friendly and calm under pressure
    • Speakers of other languages are highly encouraged but not required. (Arabic, Dari, French, Tigrinya, Amharic)

    Requirements:

    • Completion of all onboarding paperwork and training
    • Background check required
    • Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older
    • Commitment to volunteering once a week for 4 hours for 6 months
    • Record hours volunteered and submit to LCSNW staff at the end of each month
    • Disclosure of any dual relationships. Volunteer interacts with clients outside of LCSNW setting
