    Strategic Operations Coordinator

Join Empowered Futures as a Strategic Operations Coordinator and help shape the future for emerging adults as they transition into adulthood. We are a forward-thinking nonprofit committed to building confident, emotionally intelligent, and resourceful young adults through self-empowerment, mentorship, and community support.

    About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and highly organized Strategic Operations Coordinator to work across committees and programs within the organization. In this role, you will ensure alignment, identify and flag risks or delays, and provide support to remove roadblocks that hinder progress. You will also play a key role in documenting processes, coordinating priorities, and enabling smoother collaboration between teams. This position requires strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills to keep the organization moving efficiently toward its strategic goals.

    Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and align work across committees, ensuring smooth collaboration and timely delivery of initiatives.

Identify, flag, and escalate risks, delays, or resource gaps that may impact progress.

Serve as a point of contact for troubleshooting and unclogging issues between teams.

Document organizational processes and workflows to build clarity, consistency, and institutional memory.

Monitor progress against goals, ensuring accountability and follow-through.

Provide operational support to committees, helping them prioritize and structure their work.

Facilitate communication and alignment between senior leadership and committee leads.

Support preparation of progress reports and materials for board or leadership meetings.

Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting ways to streamline workflows and decision-making.

    Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree (or currently pursuing one) in Business, Management, Public Administration, or related field — or equivalent experience.

Strong project coordination or operations experience (internships, volunteer, or work experience all considered valuable).

    Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work across diverse teams.

Problem-solving mindset with the ability to anticipate and mitigate challenges.

Skilled at creating documentation (process notes, workflows, playbooks, or reports).

Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and evolving environment.

Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Trello, Asana, Notion) is a plus.

    Why Join Us?

Opportunity to work transversally across all committees and gain exposure to multiple areas of organizational leadership.

Collaborate with passionate, mission-driven, and multidisciplinary senior board members.

Play a central role in ensuring the success and impact of organizational initiatives.

Build experience in operations, strategy, and cross-functional leadership.

Must be able to attend weekly meetings. This is a part-time, unpaid position (8 - 10 hours a week).

Join our team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of young adults while shaping a brighter future for mental health and well-being. Together, we can inspire hope and create lasting change. Apply now!
