Invitation to Join the Board of Directors at the The English Learning Center, Denver

We are looking for strategic thinkers with strong collaborative skills who are passionate about our mission of teaching English to students from around the world. At this time, we are specifically seeking individuals with expertise in web marketing or finance to help guide our long-term strategy and digital presence.

Commitment: Our board meets monthly for 2 hours, usually in person, with a Zoom option when necessary. Members also serve on one committee (requiring an additional 3–5 hours per month) and are strongly encouraged to participate in our annual activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Planning: Approve the organization’s mission and review performance in achieving it.
• Financial Oversight: Review and approve the annual budget; ensure the organization’s financial health
• Web Marketing: Advise on digital outreach, SEO, and social media strategy to grow our impact.
• Committee Participation: Dedicate 3–5 hours per month to a specific working committee.
• Philanthropy: Contribute a personally meaningful annual gift within your means.
• Attendance: Attend 2-hour monthly meetings (mostly in person, occasionally via Zoom).
