Overview
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Volunteer Programming Coordinator Assistant to support the operational and administrative needs of our nonprofit’s programming team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys coordination, communication, and contributing meaningfully to a mission‑driven organization.
Core Responsibilities
Team & Meeting Support
- Attend weekly Team Lead meetings and take clear, accurate meeting minutes.
- Follow up with Team Leads on action items as directed by the Programming Coordinator.
- Lead Team Lead meetings on behalf of the Programming Coordinator as needed.
Communications & Materials
- Create event flyers and distribute them to staff via email.
- Assist with limited website updates using Wix (training provided).
- Support internal communication to ensure information is shared consistently and on time.
Program Operations
- Update task sheets and maintain organized documentation.
- Assist with special projects and additional tasks as they arise.
- Help ensure programming activities remain coordinated and on schedule.
Availability Requirements
- Tuesdays required - you must have availability between 10:00am (EDT) and 3:30pm (EDT); there will be a break or two between meetings.
- Mondays and Thursdays flexible
- Approximately 5–10 hours per week (may vary seasonally)
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Comfort with digital tools (Google Workspace, Slack, Wix, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Professionalism and reliability in a remote environment
- Interest in nonprofit program coordination and team operations
