Help Convert a Garage into a Community Learning Space

The Wright Cause Urban Youth Conservation (TWCUYC) is seeking volunteers, skilled trades professionals, contractors, businesses, and community partners to help transform an underutilized garage at our Dallas transitional housing property into a Community Learning Space.

This project will create a dedicated area for workshops, workforce development, life skills training, peer support meetings, virtual learning, community engagement, and other educational opportunities that help individuals build stability and move toward their goals.

We are looking for volunteers and partners who can assist with:

Construction & Facility Improvements

• HVAC installation
• Electrical work and additional outlets
• Lighting installation
• Flooring
• Insulation
• Drywall and finishing
• Painting
• General carpentry
• Shelving installation

Furniture & Equipment

• Tables
• Chairs
• Desks
• Storage cabinets
• Bookshelves
• Whiteboards
• Office furniture

Technology

• Computers and laptops
• Large TV or display screen
• Webcam and livestream equipment
• Printers
• Networking and internet equipment

Outdoor Storage

• Storage shed
• Shed assembly and installation
• Outdoor storage solutions
