Hospice Volunteer Opportunity – Companionship Visits
Some of the most important moments in hospice care are the quiet visits from a volunteer.
Hospice volunteers provide simple companionship to patients who may be feeling lonely or isolated. These visits often include:
Talking and sharing stories
Looking through photo albums
Listening to music
Playing cards or simple games
Sitting quietly and keeping someone company
There is no medical care involved. Your role is simply to offer kindness, conversation, and presence.
Volunteers choose their schedule and patient assignments. Most volunteers give about 10 hours per month.
Training and support are provided.
