Role Overview
We are seeking a Creative Director of Marketing & Campaign Strategy to define the conceptual, visual, and narrative architecture of PromiseStudios’ marketing campaigns.
This founding leadership role will:
- Lead campaign ideation from concept to rollout
- Define visual and narrative cohesion across platforms
- Translate creative production into high-impact marketing narratives
- Ensure brand consistency while allowing division-specific expression
The Creative Director will bridge:

- Campaign strategy

This role requires strong aesthetic authority, strategic discipline, and the ability to lead multidisciplinary creative collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and lead major campaign themes across divisions
- Develop integrated marketing narratives for book launches, film releases, fashion drops, and civic initiatives
- Establish visual language guidelines for campaign consistency
- Direct cross-platform storytelling (social, digital, email, media kits, launch decks)
- Collaborate with Photography and Film leads to align aesthetic execution
- Oversee campaign mood boards, messaging frameworks, and rollout sequencing
- Strengthen emotional resonance without compromising institutional credibility
- Review and approve marketing creative assets prior to publication
- Ensure safeguarding and compliance standards are reflected in public-facing materials
- Maintain timely, professional responsiveness via email and chat in Google Workspace
Qualifications
- Background in creative direction, brand strategy, marketing, or visual communications
- Demonstrated experience leading integrated marketing campaigns
- Strong portfolio reflecting conceptual campaign thinking
- Experience working across multiple creative mediums (visual, written, digital)
- Ability to translate mission-driven work into compelling public narratives
- Strong leadership presence and creative decision-making authority
Preferred Skills
- Experience in nonprofit or mission-driven creative campaigns
- Familiarity with youth-centered storytelling
- Experience collaborating with film, photography, or publishing teams
- Understanding of digital growth and audience engagement metrics
- Experience launching creative brands or sub-labels
Commitment
- Founding leadership role
- Structured engagement (minimum 5–10 hours per week for executive volunteer track; scalable during launch cycles)
- Remote with NYC collaboration as needed
- 6-month minimum commitment preferred
