The REED Center is a non-profit that is developing food forests across the region. In the next 6 months we will be planting numerous food forests in the nearby area and caring for our existing headquarters, 150+ acre site called Morning View Food Forest.
Anyone looking to try/learn/take part in a a diverse range of tasks can find them here. Projects we'll be working on include:

We occasionally work in areas with thorny plants, so please wear work clothing. We also recommend bringing layers as temperature shifts can be dramatic.
Many of our activities require gloves. If you have work gloves, please bring them, otherwise we can provide some. Also, please where water resistant shoes if you have them. Working with wet feet from rain or morning dew is not fun.
Each volunteer opportunity will come with instructions for parking and our event lead. There will be a few sites that we will be planting new food forests, as well as plenty of days at our headquarters at Morning View Food Forest.
Check out the schedule on our website and RSVP for the specific work days you'd like to join!
