Since 1988, Exodus World Service has mobilized the Christian community across Chicagoland to welcome and befriend refugees.
Description
Resettled refugee kids face unique hurdles. Often, they need to learn a new language and culture in addition to school subjects. Volunteers at Heidi's House, our community gathering space in Wheaton, help with this adjustment through friendship, mentorship, and encouragement. Many youth want to join these programs, but can't due to transportation constraints in DuPage County.
Details
As a volunteer van driver, you can be an integral part of a refugee student adjusting to life in the US by helping students get to and from Kids Club at Heidi's House after school. No CDL required.

Volunteers will drive a 12-passenger van around DuPage County (primarily in Wheaton and Carol Stream) to pick up and drop off refugee students.
