FACE FRIENDS FOUNDATION
Volunteer Sales Executive — Corporate Revenue & Partnership Development
Idealist Job Posting
Organization: Face Friends Foundation, Incorporated Location: Remote (Sugar Hill, Georgia based) Commitment: 20 to 25 hours per week — two month engagement Compensation: Unpaid Volunteer
ABOUT FACE FRIENDS FOUNDATION
Face Friends Foundation, Incorporated is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing poverty and inequality through innovative use of technology and community-driven workforce development.
We are building the Sugar Hill Workforce Academy — a 1,200 square foot facility on Buford Highway in Gwinnett County, Georgia featuring a commercial culinary incubator kitchen, a technical literacy lab, and a digital academy serving youth aged 16 to 24, unemployed adults, and small business owners in one of the most diverse counties in the United States.
We are not a temporary program. We are building permanent, community-owned infrastructure that serves Gwinnett County families for generations.
Our team is an all-volunteer executive staff of skilled professionals who operate with the discipline, accountability, and professionalism of a funded organization — because the mission demands it.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Face Friends Foundation is entering a critical two month capital development sprint to close the funding gap that opens the Sugar Hill Workforce Academy on March 1, 2027.
We are looking for experienced, self-directed sales and business development professionals who want to put their skills toward something that genuinely matters — and who can hit the ground running with minimal ramp up time.
This is not a general volunteer role. It is a high-responsibility, high-impact engagement for professionals who know how to build a pipeline, work a prospect, and close a commitment.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Pipeline Development Build and manage a personal prospect pipeline using leads provided by the foundation's research function and your own professional network. Every prospect is researched, qualified, and approached with a specific, tailored outreach strategy.
Corporate Outreach Conduct personalized outreach to qualified corporate prospects — CSR directors, community development officers, workforce development leads, and small business owners — introducing the foundation's partnership and commercial opportunities.
Relationship Cultivation Move prospects from first contact through active conversation to proposal delivery. Build genuine relationships with prospects rather than transactional outreach. The foundation's reputation in the community is built one conversation at a time.
Proposal Delivery Present the foundation's corporate partnership opportunities and commercial products — Managed Wix Web Storefronts, Vocational Training and Workforce Certification seats, and Funders Club memberships — clearly, confidently, and persuasively.
Pipeline Documentation Log every interaction on Bitrix24 within 24 hours. Maintain current card status, last touch date, and next action on every prospect. A pipeline that is not documented is a pipeline that cannot be managed.
Weekly Reporting Deliver a brief weekly pipeline update to the Deputy Sales Director — how many prospects are active, how many conversations are in progress, how many proposals have been delivered, and what support is needed to advance stalled relationships.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Demonstrated experience in B2B sales, business development, corporate partnerships, or nonprofit major gifts — you have worked a pipeline before and you know what closing looks like
- The ability to work independently and manage your own time without daily supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills — your outreach emails and conversations represent the foundation publicly
- Comfort with CRM tools and digital platforms — we use Bitrix24
- A genuine connection to the foundation's mission of economic equity and community development in Gwinnett County
- 3-5 hours per week for a defined two month engagement beginning September 8, 2026
WHAT YOU GAIN
Named Executive Role You join the foundation as a named Sales Executive on the volunteer executive staff — a specific title with specific responsibilities and specific outcomes attached to your name.
Real Pipeline Experience You will work a live corporate revenue pipeline with real prospects, real proposals, and real commitments. This is not simulated or training work. It is the actual operation.
Direct Leadership Access You report directly to Ndizihiwe Adino, Sales & Marketing Director, and work in close coordination with the Deputy Sales Director and the Executive Director. You are inside the decision-making layer of a growing nonprofit.
Founding Team Recognition You join at the founding stage of an organization building permanent community infrastructure. Your contribution is recognized as part of the team that made the Sugar Hill Workforce Academy possible.
Portfolio-Ready Outcomes A two month B2B sales engagement with documented pipeline activity, proposal delivery, and closed commitments is a strong, specific addition to any sales or business development professional's portfolio.
Professional Network You work alongside skilled professionals across sales, corporate partnerships, fundraising, grants, communications, and technology — a network that grows with you beyond this engagement.
LinkedIn Verification Your role, title, and tenure are verifiable on the foundation's official LinkedIn page for your professional profile.
Completion Incentive — Two Tier Reward
Volunteers who successfully complete the full two month engagement in good standing receive the following upon completion:
Tier One — Guaranteed at Completion Complimentary access to the foundation's B2B Enterprise Bundle — The Corporate All-Access Infrastructure Pass. A $297 value. Delivered immediately upon successful completion of the engagement.
Tier Two — Subject to Availability Priority consideration for a complimentary seat in the Sugar Hill Virtual Academy January 2027 inaugural cohort. The foundation's digital academy launches October 19, 2026. Volunteers who complete this engagement in good standing are first in line for a free seat in the first cohort class — a workforce and business development curriculum designed for professionals ready to build their next chapter.
Successful completion is defined as:
- Completing the full two month engagement without abandoning the role
- Maintaining active and current pipeline documentation on Bitrix24 throughout the engagement
- Delivering a minimum of 20 qualified outreach contacts and 5 proposals over the two month period
- Attending weekly team check-ins consistently
- Completing the engagement in good standing as confirmed by the Sales & Marketing Director
IMPORTANT — PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING
This is a volunteer position. It is unpaid.
Face Friends Foundation operates with an all-volunteer executive staff. Every member of our leadership team gives their time without financial compensation because they believe in what we are building.
This engagement asks more than most volunteer roles — 20 to 25 hours per week for two months. We are transparent about that because we respect your time. If you are looking for paid employment this role is not the right fit.
If you are a sales or business development professional looking for a defined, high-impact volunteer engagement that puts your skills toward permanent community infrastructure — we want to hear from you.
We ask all applicants to acknowledge the volunteer nature and time commitment of this position as part of the application process.
