FINANCE & ACCOUNTING OFFICER

Location: Remote / US
Position Summary
The Finance & Accounting Officer supports bookkeeping, financial reporting, and donor‑compliant financial systems. This role is essential to strengthening Paraklet’s readiness for USAID and foundation funding.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accounting systems (QuickBooks or similar)
- Support monthly reconciliations and financial reports
- Assist with budget tracking and program expenditures
- Lead monthly financial close (Part‑Time/Consultant)
- Support audit preparation and internal controls
- Develop donor‑compliant financial templates
- Support cost proposals and budget narratives (Consultant)
Qualifications
- Experience in nonprofit accounting or financial management
- Knowledge of GAAP and donor compliance
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
Compensation Options
- Volunteer: 5–10 hrs/week
This role is currently offered as a volunteer position. However, Paraklet Inc. anticipates upcoming funding opportunities, and the position is expected to transition into a paid consultancy or full‑time role contingent upon award. Candidates who join now will be given priority consideration for the paid role once funding is secured.
