We are seeking a Google Workspace Administrator / Systems Administrator to ensure our systems are structured, secure, and operating efficiently.
Because when systems are organized —
everything moves faster.
The Role
This role is responsible for managing and maintaining our core systems, with a primary focus on Google Workspace.
You will ensure:
- Users have the right access
- Systems are configured correctly
- Tools work the way they’re supposed to
You are not just fixing issues.
You are maintaining the foundation of daily operations.
What You’ll Own
Google Workspace Administration
- Manage and maintain:
- Gmail
- Google Drive
- Docs, Sheets, Slides
- Google Meet
- Shared Drives
- Configure system settings and policies
- Ensure usability and performance of collaboration tools
User Account & Access Management
- Create, update, and deactivate user accounts
- Manage permissions and access levels
- Implement role-based access controls
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes
System Configuration & Maintenance
- Configure integrations and system settings
- Perform routine maintenance and updates
- Monitor system health and performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues
Shared Drive & Data Organization
- Design and maintain structured Shared Drives
- Ensure proper file organization and access controls
- Support teams in maintaining clean, usable data environments
Technical Support & Issue Resolution
- Provide support for:
- Google Workspace tools
- Access issues
- Collaboration tools
- Resolve issues efficiently and escalate when needed
Security & Compliance Support
- Implement security settings:
- Multi-factor authentication (MFA)
- Access controls
- Data protection configurations
- Partner with security team to maintain compliance
System Integration & Automation
- Support integrations between tools and platforms
- Assist in workflow automation and system improvements
- Ensure systems work seamlessly together
Documentation & Knowledge Management
- Maintain documentation for:
- System configurations
- Access procedures
- Troubleshooting guides
- Ensure clarity and accessibility of information
Process Support & Optimization
- Support onboarding/offboarding workflows
- Improve system efficiency and usability
- Recommend enhancements to tools and processes
Continuous Improvement
- Stay current on Google Workspace updates and best practices
- Implement improvements to enhance system performance
Who This Is For

Qualifications
Required
- 2–4 years of experience in system administration or IT support
- Experience administering Google Workspace or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of:
- User account management
- Access control and permissions
- Collaboration tools
Preferred
- Google Workspace Administrator certification
- Experience in nonprofit or remote environments
- Familiarity with automation and integrations
Commitment
- 8–12 hours per week
- Flexible schedule (with responsiveness to support needs)
- Fully remote
