Assistant Manager of Development & Partnerships
Volunteer | Remote | ~5–8 hours/week
Who We Are
At Creshendo, we believe everyone deserves the chance to belong, rebuild, and rise. In partnership with displaced communities, we co-create solutions by listening deeply, collaborating intentionally, and centering lived experience.
Driven by integrity, empathy, and curiosity, we design bold, inclusive programs that reimagine what's possible for displaced communities. If you're passionate about challenging the status quo and driving meaningful change, you'll feel right at home here.
Why This Role Matters
Our Development & Partnerships team is growing — and we need a reliable, passionate leader to help us stay connected and moving forward. As Assistant Manager, you'll be a key support to our department Manager and a direct representative of the Development & Partnerships team in cross-functional spaces.
This is a great fit for someone who's a natural communicator, thrives in collaborative environments, and wants to take ownership of real partnership and outreach work — not just support from the sidelines.
What You'll Be Doing
- Represent the Development & Partnerships team in meetings and cross-departmental conversations, acting as a liaison between the department, other teams, and executive leadership
- Lead partnerships and outreach initiatives — identifying opportunities, building relationships, and driving external engagement on behalf of Creshendo
- Support the department Manager and Executive Director with communication, follow-through, and keeping the team aligned
- Help track partnership progress and outreach goals, reporting updates back to department leadership
- Show up consistently and with intention — this role requires reliable availability during team meetings
Note on availability: Meetings for this role fall primarily between 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM ET. Consistent
availability during these hours is a must.
What You Bring
- Strong communication skills — you're clear, reliable, and confident representing a team in group settings
- Organized and dependable — people can count on you to follow through
- An interest in or experience with partnerships, outreach, community engagement, or nonprofit
- development
- Comfortable working closely with leadership and acting as a point of contact for the department
- A collaborative, low-ego approach — you're here to support the mission, not the spotlight
- Genuine passion for Creshendo's work with displaced communities
Even if you don't check every box, we want to hear from you. We're looking for people who lead with intention and show up with purpose.
What You'll Get
- Hands-on experience in nonprofit partnerships, outreach, and cross-functional collaboration
- Direct mentorship and support from the Development & Partnerships Manager and Executive Director
- The chance to build and lead real outreach initiatives with visible impact
- A meaningful addition to your professional portfolio
- A community built on the G.Y.S.T. mindset: action over ego, clarity over chaos, progress over perfection
