Pre-School/Day Care Board of Trustee Member

It is the mission of Community Day Nursery to provide children with a safe, supportive, stimulating environment in which each child’s potential for emotional, intellectual, social, and physical development is nurtured. Board of Trustee members assist in formulating agency goals and objectives, proactively identifies and responds to the agency needs, support agency policies and procedures, and serves as visionaries for educational opportunities for children.

We look to build on over 120 years of quality daycare services and expand our presence in Essex County and New Jersey. Board of Trustee members operate in a voluntary capacity with responsibilities :

• Strategic Oversight: approve annual budgets, strategic plans and review and measure outcomes; provide strategic leadership
• Sustainability: actively participate in fundraising initiatives, assist in identifying board members and contribute to the annual performance of the Executive Director
• Commitment: actively participate and attend board meetings and take a proactive approach to the growth of the organization
