Volunteer Social Media Manager — Lead Army Pink’s Social Media Team

Army Pink is a survivor-led nonprofit working to help survivors of domestic violence escape to safety and begin their path to freedom. Through our Pathway to Freedom program, we provide safe, reliable transportation through Freedom Rides and are developing a Wellness Portal with resources and support for survivors.

About the Role

We are looking for a strong, organized, and creative Social Media Manager to take a leadership role in building and managing Army Pink’s social media program.

This is more than a posting role. We need someone who can create and manage the social media calendar, coordinate our social media volunteers, assign tasks, track deadlines, and make sure everything stays on track.

You will help create an organized social media operation where everyone knows what they are responsible for and content consistently moves from idea to completion and publication.

What You’ll Do

• Create and maintain Army Pink’s social media content calendar
• Plan content across our social media platforms
• Coordinate and manage social media volunteers
• Assign content, design, video, writing, and other social media tasks
• Establish deadlines and follow up on assignments
• Make sure content is completed, reviewed, approved, and ready to publish
• Identify gaps in the content calendar
• Coordinate with writers, designers, animators, video editors, and other volunteers
• Help develop campaigns around Army Pink programs, initiatives, fundraising, and awareness events
• Repurpose existing Army Pink content, including interviews and videos
• Help maintain a consistent voice and visual presence
• Track completed and upcoming content
• Monitor basic social media performance and identify opportunities for improvement
• Keep the Marketing/Social Media team organized and moving forward

What We’re Looking For

• Experience managing social media for an organization, nonprofit, business, or brand
• Strong organizational and project-management skills
• Experience creating and managing content calendars
• Ability to coordinate and lead volunteers
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Understanding of social media strategy and content development
• Reliability and strong follow-through

Experience with Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Canva, social media scheduling platforms, short-form video, content repurposing, or analytics is a plus.
