Thomas the Tank Engine is coming to Baltimore, and we need your help to make the day a success!
There will be games, crafts, music, food, train rides, and a life size Thomas on site for photos and to greet patrons! You can find out more about the event here:
Family Fun Day: Day Out With Thomas™ | B&O Railroad Museum
We are looking for volunteers to help make this 4 day event a smashing success! Shifts go all day, 8:30 - 4:30 pm with free lunch provided. This is a fun event, easy to complete any service learning or community service hours. Feel free to sign up for part or all of a shift.
Roles we will need support to conduct:
Admissions - Welcome Guests and provide maps
Photo Line Attendants - Assistant patrons to stand in the right spot to get a photo with characters.
Car Hosts - Ride the train and ensure patrons have a fun time!
Play Areas - Ensure kids are safe and monitor games
Thomas Gift Shop - Restock items and assist patrons finding the items they want.
Character Support - Support a named face character, Sir Topham Hat, to stand in photos with kids.
Moon bounce Supervision (Aged 18+) - Supervise inflatable moon bounce and ensure kids take turns for safety.
Thomas's Big Day Out will take place at the following days and times:
Sat. Apr. 25th and Sun. Apr. 26th
Sat. May 2nd and Sun. May 3rd
8:30 am - 4:30 pm.
No prior knowledge needed; all training necessary will take place onsite. If you are engaging and excited to create a fun atmosphere to young children and their families, this event is for you! Free food provided! Volunteers need to arrive on time at the Main Museum campus, 901 W Pratt Street.
