Haitian Art Store Website Volunteer

Overview:

Global OffSite Care (GOSC) is seeking a volunteer to help establish and support an online storefront to sell Haitian art in support of the Haiti Orphanage Telemedicine Project.

This initiative was launched in 2025 as an extension of GOSC’s Haiti Telemedicine program, which connects a remote orphanage to physicians at a partner hospital in Port-au-Prince. Due to the orphanage’s location and limited access to healthcare resources, staff were trained to assist with remote diagnosis and coordination with physicians through telemedicine.

As part of the project, a mobile pharmacy was established to treat common illnesses and provide basic medications on-site. To help sustain the pharmacy and ensure access to essential supplies, GOSC developed an initiative to sell locally produced Haitian artwork online, with proceeds supporting pharmacy inventory and program operations.

GOSC is seeking a volunteer to help set up the storefront and provide occasional updates or adjustments as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Set up the selected online platform for the Haitian art storefront
• Upload and organize artwork listings, including images, pricing, and descriptions
• Configure payment processing and basic site functionality
• Ensure the website is user-friendly and ready for public launch
• Make occasional updates to artwork listings or site content as inventory changes
• Coordinate with the GOSC Webmaster and Communications Director regarding content updates or technical needs
• Provide light troubleshooting or guidance if minor updates are needed

Preferred Skills:

• Experience setting up websites or e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Squarespace, Wix, etc.)
• Basic understanding of payment integrations and online storefront setup
• Strong attention to detail and organization
