    Descripción

Join a dedicated team of volunteers at West Point Foundry Preserve in Cold Spring; they’ve already expanded the pollinator garden at this beautiful and historic 97-acre preserve on the Hudson River. Projects focus on invasive species removal and pollinator garden maintenance.

Learn how to help maintain and expand the variety of native flowering perennials, shrubs, and trees that make the park more inviting for people and wildlife. We’ll do some plant identification, weeding, seeding and plant more native species that attract bees, butterflies, and other pollinators.

Wear clothes you won't mind getting dirty, including long pants, sturdy closed-toe shoes, and a hat. Also, bring gloves if you have them. We will provide all of the needed tools along with water and snacks. Participants under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Meet in the parking lot at West Point Foundry Preserve.

    Private Group Details:

    • Group Size Range: 1 - 50+
    • Event can be held at a volunteer group location (e.g. office, park)
    • No Donation
