    Grants Team Lead

    Grants Team Lead

Volunteer | Remote | 6-8 hours per week

    Who We Are

At Creshendo, we believe everyone deserves the chance to belong, rebuild, and rise. In partnership with displaced communities, we co-create solutions by listening deeply, collaborating intentionally, and centering lived experience.

Fueled by integrity, empathy, and curiosity, we design bold, inclusive programs that reimagine what's possible for displaced people everywhere. If you're passionate about challenging the status quo and driving meaningful change, you'll feel right at home here.

    Why This Role Matters

Funding fuels impact. Without resources, even the most innovative community-led programs cannot grow.

As our Volunteer Grants Team Lead, you'll do more than write proposals. You'll shape and steward a growing team of volunteer grant writers, ensuring Creshendo pursues the right opportunities with compelling, mission-aligned applications. Working closely with our Director of Development, you'll bring both hands-on grant writing expertise and a collaborative leadership approach that elevates the whole team.

    What You'll Be Doing

    • You'll lead and coordinate a small team of volunteer grant writers, providing guidance, feedback, and accountability.
    • You'll collaborate directly with the Director of Development to shape grant strategy, set priorities, and align proposals with organizational goals.
    • You'll write and review funding proposals, ensuring applications are clear, persuasive, and mission-aligned.
    • You'll oversee research into funding opportunities from foundations, corporations, and international funders.
    • You'll support team members in gathering data, impact narratives, and supporting materials that strengthen applications.
    • You'll maintain organized records of deadlines, requirements, submissions, and outcomes across the team's portfolio.

    What You Bring

    • Demonstrated experience in grant writing, with a track record of successful proposals to foundations, government, or corporate funders.
    • Experience leading, mentoring, or coordinating a team, either formally or informally.
    • Strong research skills and the ability to identify well-matched funding opportunities.
    • Ability to turn complex information into compelling, clear narratives.
    • A collaborative mindset (you lead by supporting others, not just doing it yourself).
    • Comfort working under the direction of experienced nonprofit development leadership.
    • Independence, reliability, and ease of working in a remote, asynchronous team environment.
    • Availability of 6-8 hours per week.

    What You'll Gain

    • Impact: Play a direct role in securing the funding that sustains Creshendo's programs and community impact.
    • Leadership Experience: Build your portfolio as a grants team lead in a mission-driven organization.
    • Mentorship: Work closely with and learn from an experienced Director of Development.
    • Networking: Connect with nonprofit professionals and funding organizations.
    • Flexibility: Work remotely on a schedule that suits you.
    • Recognition: Certificate of completion and recommendation letter upon commitment.

    How We Work

We operate with a G.Y.S.T. mindset: clarity over chaos, consistency over perfection, action over ego. If you're someone who follows through, communicates clearly, and cares about doing things well, you'll feel at home here.
